The Ultimate Betrayal

The most fundamental instinct woven into the human fabric is a parent’s drive to protect their child. The home is designed by God to be the first sanctuary, the place where a child initially learns the nature of unconditional love and divine security.

When that sanctuary is violated, it is not merely a tragedy; it is a profound spiritual perversion. We live in a culture desperate to excuse the inexcusable. Justifying the killing of a child as a matter of convenience, a side effect of hormones, or waving it away as the blameless result of mental illness is the hallmark of a degenerate world. We use therapeutic language and clinical terms to sanitize what should shatter us. But evil does not become acceptable just because a society gives it a medical or circumstantial label.

History is stained with cultures that sacrificed their children to false gods for the promise of prosperity, peace, or power. Modern culture often does the same, though the altars have changed. Whenever we normalize the sacrifice of the most vulnerable for the sake of the powerful—when a parent chooses their own comfort, reputation, or rage over the life of their child—darkness has taken the wheel.

Yet, God's eyes are fixed on the defenseless. His justice is uncompromising, but His mercy for the broken is infinite. Where human love fundamentally fails and the deepest earthly trust is broken, the Father steps into the gap. He is the final refuge for the innocent.
