When Love Becomes a Transaction

The Tragedy of Modern Dating

Modern dating culture teaches too many women to compete with men instead of learning how to love one. It tells them independence means selfishness, that relationships are power struggles, and that a man should be managed, trained, and manipulated rather than respected.

It teaches them to use sex as leverage, attention as currency, and affection as a negotiating tool. Then it tells them to hunt for a “high-value man” while saying almost nothing about becoming a woman of character, loyalty, humility, discipline, and genuine value herself.

When intimacy becomes a strategy and another human being becomes something to acquire, control, or extract from, that is not love. It is transaction dressed up as romance.

Love does not train another person like an animal. It does not manipulate desire to manufacture devotion. It does not ask, “What can I get from you?” before asking, “Who am I becoming, and what am I willing to give?”

A relationship built on manipulation may produce attention, sex, money, status, or security. But it will never produce the thing it is pretending to be: love.
