Our Beliefs
What gives us hope, what we believe, why we exist, and how we live it.
Our Hope in Christ
We believe that humanity is broken by sin and separated from God.
Romans 3:23
We believe God loves us and sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to rescue us.
John 3:16
We believe Jesus lived a perfect life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4
We believe that salvation is a free gift of grace, received through faith alone in Christ alone.
Ephesians 2:8-9
We believe Jesus will return to make all things new.
Revelation 21:5
We Will Speak Plainly
We worship the Creator, not the creation.
The world God made is good, but it is not God. Beauty, nature, family, nation, tradition, success, even ministry itself can become idols when they are given the place that belongs to Him alone. We can appreciate what God has made without bowing to it. Worship belongs to God.
We are not saved by rituals.
There are practices Christians have carried for centuries: prayer, baptism, communion, fasting, confession, gathering with believers, serving others. These things matter because obedience matters. They shape us. They remind us who we belong to. They distinguish a life surrendered to Christ from a life shaped only by the world around us.
But none of them can save us.
A person can sit in church every Sunday, know every hymn, receive communion, give money, speak Christian language, and still never surrender to Jesus Christ.
We come to Christ with nothing to bargain with.
We do not bring our goodness. We do not bring a religious résumé. We do not clean ourselves up enough to earn His attention. We come as sinners in need of mercy.
And when we return to Him at the end of this life, we will still have nothing with which to purchase eternity.
Christ is not an accessory to a better life. He is not one spiritual option among many. He is not merely a teacher whose sayings we admire.
He is Savior.
And for the person who rejects Him, He is Judge.
That truth is uncomfortable only if we believe Christianity exists to make us comfortable.
It does not.
The Gospel confronts us before it comforts us. It tells us the truth about sin, repentance, judgment, grace, forgiveness, and the cross. It strips away the illusion that we can save ourselves and points us entirely to Jesus Christ.
So we will not pretend that every path leads to God.
We will not confuse emotion with faith.
We will not substitute ceremony for obedience.
We will not worship the things God created while ignoring the One who created them.
We come to Christ empty-handed.
We live by His grace.
And when our lives are finished, our hope will not be that we were good enough.
Our hope will be Jesus Christ.
We Will March Boldly
We do not retreat; we carry the light.
The Kingdom of God is not passive. We do not hide from the brokenness of the culture. We are called to active, courageous obedience, to push back the influence of the enemy, and to proclaim the ultimate victory of the cross in every sphere of life.
We worship with weight, not entertainment.
Our worship is a weapon against the kingdom of darkness. We do not gather to be amused, comfortable, or validated; we gather to declare that Jesus Christ is King, to tremble at His holiness, and to prepare the way for His return.
What We Believe
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. We do not stand above Scripture and decide which parts we will accept. We stand under it. It is the final authority for what we believe and how we live.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He alone is Creator, Sustainer, Redeemer, and worthy of worship. We may treasure what He has made, but we do not worship the creation in place of the Creator.
We believe that humanity was created by God and for God in His image, male and female, possessing inherent dignity from conception, but sin has separated us from Him. No amount of goodness, religion, ritual, service, or self-improvement can erase that separation.
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
We believe salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone. It is given by the grace of God and received through repentance and faith. We do not earn salvation. We do not purchase it through good works, religious observance, baptism, communion, giving, or service. These may be acts of obedience and worship, but they are not substitutes for Christ.
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, brings new life, dwells within every believer, teaches, strengthens, corrects, and sanctifies us so that our lives increasingly belong to God rather than to the world. We believe the Spirit equips the Church with spiritual gifts and supernatural power to carry out Christ’s mission on earth.
We believe that Jesus Christ is Savior to those who belong to Him and Judge of all humanity. Every person will ultimately stand before God. Our hope is not that we were good enough. Our hope is Christ.
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of those who have been reconciled to God through Him. Christians are called to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, care for the hurting, defend what is true, serve their neighbors, and live in a way that makes clear whom they belong to.
We believe we come to Christ with nothing to bargain with, and when this life is finished, we will still have nothing with which to purchase eternity.
Our hope is Jesus Christ.
