Active Ministries
Prayer & Spiritual Care
At the center of Vaelerin Movement Ministries is Jesus Christ.
We provide active pastoral care, intentional prayer, Christian teaching, and biblical direction for people walking through doubt, grief, fear, failure, loneliness, and difficult seasons.
When we say we "walk with people," we mean concrete action: having honest pastoral conversations, providing spiritual guidance grounded in Scripture, interceding in prayer, and staying long enough for a person to believe they have not been abandoned.
Crisis Support & Referrals
When someone is in immediate danger, safety comes first. Pastoral care has an important place, but during an active crisis, our first responsibility is not pretending we can do work that belongs to trained professionals.
For those facing domestic abuse, violence, suicidal crisis, or other severe situations, Vaelerin actively provides immediate direction and connection to professional emergency resources, crisis organizations, authorities, and safe support.

Every Child Plays
A child should not have to watch from the sidelines because their family cannot afford the registration fee, the cleats, or the equipment required to play.
Sports can teach discipline, resilience, teamwork, and leadership. Just as importantly, they can put a child alongside coaches, mentors, and other adults who believe in them.
Every Child Plays is a Vaelerin Movement Ministries initiative created to remove financial and practical barriers that keep children from participating in sports.

Practical Assistance & Connection
Sometimes the first thing love requires is dealing with the need directly in front of us. A hungry family needs food. A parent facing a shutoff notice needs someone willing to help them find a way forward.
When individuals or families reach out facing hardship, Vaelerin takes practical action by connecting them to trusted community resources, local food banks, and municipal assistance programs. When internal resources allow, we provide direct, limited practical support to bridge the gap.
If you are facing an immediate material need, please reach out. While we cannot guarantee direct financial funding in all cases, we will actively work with you to locate and access local support systems.

Vision for the Future
While we serve the immediate needs of today, Vaelerin Movement Ministries is actively developing larger-scale solutions to address systemic barriers in our communities.
Food, Housing & Utility Security
A family should not have to decide which basic necessity they can afford to lose this month. Vaelerin is working to systematize a dedicated fund and direct-action network to rapidly assist families facing acute food insecurity, housing instability, or utility shutoffs.
The goal is to move beyond temporary relief and create long-term stability networks alongside our local church and nonprofit partners.
Education & Family Support
Stronger families change what children believe is possible. We are developing structured mentorship frameworks, educational support initiatives, and practical life-skills resources aimed at empowering parents and young adults.
As these programs launch, they will tie closely into our existing pastoral care and sports initiatives, ensuring families receive holistic support.
The Harlow-Curtis Field House Athletic Institute
To permanently establish a home for our inclusive community efforts, we are proposing the development of the Harlow-Curtis Field House Athletic Institute in Upstate South Carolina.
This physical facility is intended to serve as a massive expansion of the Every Child Plays initiative, offering sensory-calm athletic zones for neurodivergent children, full wheelchair and adaptive sports courts, and dedicated mentorship spaces. It will be a place where the doors to participation are never closed due to financial or physical barriers.
Online Ministry
Prayer requests, crisis referrals, Gospel resources, Teachings, and spiritual direction are available regardless of your geographic location.
Local & In-Person Ministry
In-person ministry, physical sports gear distribution, and local community assistance are centered primarily in Virginia and Upstate South Carolina.
