Our Mission
Vaelerin Movement Ministries exists to bring the broken to Christ Jesus.
We do not claim that an organization, website, or ministry program can save anyone. Only Jesus Christ saves. We exist to point people toward Him by meeting them where they are.
What We Mean by "Movement"
A faith that remains still when people are hurting is incomplete. “Movement” means faith expressed through action.
It means moving toward people rather than waiting for them to come to us. It means moving beyond words to provide actual help. It means moving into difficult places—grief, poverty, failure, and crisis—and responding to both spiritual and practical needs.
We do not want to admire suffering from a safe distance. We want to move toward it.
Our Convictions
How We Believe Ministry Should Look
Faith Requires Action
Believing the right things is essential, but faith should result in tangible care for people. Theology should ultimately look like love.
Dignity is Non-Negotiable
People are not projects. Those receiving help must be treated with the exact same respect, privacy, and honor as those giving it.
Body and Soul
Spiritual care and practical compassion belong together. We cannot preach the Gospel to a starving person without also offering them bread.
Moving Toward Restoration
Help should point people toward true restoration, belonging, responsibility, and long-term hope, rather than just temporary relief.
Christ at the Center
We serve because He first loved us. Social work is noble, but Vaelerin is unapologetically Christian. We do not hide our foundation. Every ounce of hope we offer is rooted in the grace and truth of Jesus Christ.
Stand. Resist. Endure.
The motto of the Vaelerin Movement is not just a phrase; it is a mandate for how to navigate a broken world.
Stand
Stand firm in the truth of Scripture. Do not abandon your convictions when the culture shifts or when holding the line becomes costly.
Resist
Resist the temptation to compromise. Resist despair, isolation, and the lie that you are beyond redemption.
Endure
Endure the trials of life by anchoring your hope in Christ. Suffering is real, but it is not the final word.

Born from the Front Lines
Vaelerin Movement Ministries was not born in a corporate boardroom. It grew from lived experience.
Through 21 years of military chaplaincy, deployments to combat zones, and walking with people through intense grief, poverty, and crisis, our founder, Chaplain Darrell Eugene Harlow-Curtis, saw firsthand that words alone are often not enough.
When a person is bleeding—physically, financially, or emotionally—they need someone willing to step into the mess with them.
How Mission Becomes Action
Convictions must have hands and feet. Vaelerin makes this mission tangible through:
